About Your Instructor

Erica C. Boling, PhD is the Founder and Director of Nordic K9 Conditioning AS and the visionary behind Northeast K9 Conditioning, a canine fitness education company she founded more than a decade ago.

Her passion for canine fitness grew from firsthand experience with both sport and working dogs and a desire to better prepare dogs for the physical demands of training, competition, and work. Having competed in French Ring and worked with search and rescue and narcotics detection dogs, Erica understands the unique challenges, risks, and responsibilities that come with developing and maintaining high-performance canine athletes.

Today, Erica combines more than 30 years of teaching experience with expertise in canine fitness, human fitness, and program design to help handlers, trainers, and canine professionals better support the health, performance, and longevity of their dogs. Through her educational programs, she has helped dog owners improve their dogs' quality of life, supported competitors pursuing national and international goals, and guided professionals seeking to integrate canine fitness into their services.

Erica is a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT), Certified Canine Massage Provider, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Wellness Coach, member of the United States Federation of Sleddog Sports (USFSS), and past member of the USFSS USA National Team.

When she's not teaching, coaching, or developing educational programs, you'll likely find her training outdoors, running, sailing, and spending time with dogs.
